Ministers seek four new board members for Human Tissue Authority
Ministers are seeking to appoint four new members to the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) Board, including one member who will Chair the organisation's Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
The appointments come at a crucial time for the regulator, as it strengthens its collaborative work with other health sector bodies and adapts to innovations in the life sciences sector.
Lynne Berry CBE, Chair of the HTA, said: "These are important and demanding times for the health sector, for innovation in the life sciences and for issues about public trust and professional confidence. Consequently, our role as the regulator for the ethical use of human tissue has never been more vital."
The successful candidates will help shape the HTA's future activities, including developing risk-based regulation, supporting the life sciences sector, and maintaining public confidence in areas such as post-mortem services.
The roles offer a remuneration of £7,883 per annum (£13,137 for the ARAC Chair) for a time commitment of 2-3 days per month.
